7 benefits of thinking positive

From the start of the day to the end, we face a lot of situations to which either we can respond positively or react negatively.  Like for instance, if you are stuck in a traffic you can yell all you want inside your car and waste your time for no reason or you can take this time as a golden chance to practice being patient. Abraham Lincoln once said "We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses."

Positive thinking is more than just a personality trait, it's connected with your health, and the way you live your life. If you're an optimist then congrats, you're certainly enjoying a lot of benefits due to it. But if you're a pessimist then I'll tell all the reasons for you to turn into an optimist. Rest is your choice.
Benefits of thinking positive:-
1. Positive people outperform negative people -- A psychologist at the university of Pennsylvania proved that optimists are more successful than equally talented pessimists in business, education, sports or be it politics .You may not believe this but it has been already proved. So if you're an optimist then you certainly have some benefit over pessimists during work time.
2. It's good for your relationships -- If you're an optimist then you'll look at the positive side of everything and so you'll also see the brighter side of your fellow person in a much brighter way. Thus if you'll look at the positive side of people and appreciate it then who wouldn't like to be near you. At least I would prefer you over a person who is always talking about my dark  side.
3. Positive people live longer -- Now you would say 'Come on Ankit that possibly can't be true. But in a study, it was shown that positive people tend to live 10 years more than negative people. So, I'm not saying just 'anything' . And moreover, who doesn't want to live a little more. So, here's your chance to live 10 years more.
4. Optimism can improve your immunity -- While researchers are not entirely clear on why positive thinking benefits health, some suggest that positive people might lead healthier lives.
5. Positive people cope better with stress -- It's unclear why people who think positive experience less stress. Maybe because they always try to see the positive in those negative situations. And guess what there's no such situation which doesn't have a brighter side. And I'm not saying this based on any research, I'm saying this from my personal life experience.
6. Positive people believe in themselves -- Positive thinking centers your focus on positive things like belief in your abilities. And the person who believes in himself is sure to win the game.
7. Increases pain tolerance -- Well, you might think that pessimists suffer more, so they might be having much more pain tolerance in comparison to the optimists and I'll also like to join you but then we both will be wrong. It has been proven that optimists have more tolerance in comparison to pessimists.
Bad for pessimists. Isn't it!
Well not so bad if they also set their arrogance aside and choose to change the team. I choose to see the glass half full. Now it's your turn to choose. Peace :-)
