Meditation

Meditation means focusing and quietening your mind, thus reaching a higher level of awareness and inner calm. It is a technique which is used by many people in the world. It isn't hard to do. It consists of the following steps :-

1. Choose a quiet place and quiet time -- The best time to meditate is during the morning and evening. You can choose a comfortable place to meditate.
2. Sit in a comfortable position -- To do meditation, it is compulsory that you are comfortable at the first point. If you're not comfortable with a particular position then you can try any another position.
3. Set the time -- If you're a beginner then you can meditate for 5 minutes a day and afterwards you can increase the time. Set the alarm 5 minutes from now so that you might know when 5 minutes will pass.
4. Close your eyes -- Our eyes are the windows of our brain, if you keep them open then your mind might wander away. But if you're doing other form of meditation like the burning candle(in which you've to focus on the burning part of the candle) then you don't need to close your eyes.
5. Focus on your breathing -- Although there are other things on which you can also put your focus, the best would be focusing on your breath.
